Maserati confirms Stoffel Vandoorne-Jake Hughes as Formula E season 11 drivers

Maserati's motorsport team, Maserati MSG Racing, has confirmed Stoffel Vandoorne and Jake Hughes as its drivers for the 2024/25 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship ("Formula E").

Stoffel Vandoorne and Jake Hughes have race-winning experience and a fierce determination, and their addition gives Maserati MSG Racing one of the strongest driver line-ups in a pivotal season that will see the debut of the next-generation electric racecar, the Gen3 Evo.

He has also built a reputation as one of Formula E's most dominant drivers with a total of three wins, 16 podiums and eight pole positions.

Jake Hughes made his Formula E debut for McLaren in the 2022/23 season, securing pole position in just his third race start and enjoying one of the most impressive rookie seasons in Formula E history. He then went on to top qualify four times across the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons, and scored his first podium in 2023/24 with a second-place finish at Round 12 in Shanghai.

The pair will make their first appearance as Maserati MSG Racing drivers at the pre-season test at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain, from 4-7 November.
