To make electric vehicles more affordable, Peugeot has slashed the official consumer prices of its e-208 and e-2008 SUVs (model year 23) by £13.1 million and £14 million, respectively, and will sell its electric vehicles for between £38.9 million and £41.9 million.
Our electrification strategy is in full swing to become the leading mobility brand in the European electric vehicle market by 2025. In fact, Peugeot has already made its mark in the electrification sector, leading the European B-segment electric vehicle market for two consecutive years in 2022 and 2023 with the e-208 and e-2008 SUVs. The price reduction will also make Peugeot's EV line-up more accessible to the Korean market.
The e-2008 SUV Allure trim, a compact electric SUV, will now be available for 38.9 million won, a reduction of 14 million won, the largest of the price adjustments. The GT trim will be available at 41.9 million won, down 13 million won, and the e-208 compact electric hatchback will be priced at 39.9 million won, down from 53 million won, a reduction of about 251 TP3T. Add to this the national and local government subsidies of more than 5 million won (Gyeonggi Province) each, as well as on-site promotional offers, and the actual purchase price drops to the low-to-mid 30 million won range.
Ideal as city centre electric cars, the Peugeot e-208 and e-2008 SUVs have a reasonable range for everyday driving. On a single charge, the e-208 can travel up to 280 kilometres and the e-2008 up to 260 kilometres. They also have excellent electricity efficiency. The e-208 achieves 5.7 km/kWh and the e-2008 SUV 5.2 km/kWh, which is equivalent to energy efficiency class 2 (5.0-5.7 km/kWh).
The compact body for high manoeuvrability with a high all-electric ratio, a stable ride regardless of road conditions, the same spaciousness and advanced features as the internal combustion engine models, and the same competitive edge for city driving. In addition, the driver-centred ergonomic 'i-Cockpit®' inside the cabin provides intuitive driving information for safe driving in complex city centres.
In addition, Peugeot electric vehicles are equipped with class-leading advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) as standard. As the e-208 and e-2008 SUV GT trims are targeted at first-time buyers, they come with adaptive cruise control (ACC), blind spot collision warning system and lane keep assist to reduce the risk of accidents and damage to the vehicle.
