Volvo Cars Korea has expanded and reopened the Volvo Cars Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Centre in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do, to improve customer satisfaction.
The Volvo Cars PDI Centre is where cars are stored and inspected for quality before being delivered to customers, and Volvo Cars Korea has invested approximately KRW 13 billion to renovate the PDI Centre. The expanded and reopened PDI Centre has a total area of 8,369.23 square metres and can inspect up to 50,000 cars per year.
The Volvo Cars PDI Centre is the first in the domestic imported car industry to be equipped with solar power generation, and features sustainable operations such as recycling car wash water through ozone treatment. In addition, to improve the quality of pre-inspection, the paint booths and lighting have been replaced with state-of-the-art equipment and a driving test process has been introduced.
In addition, to meet the growing demand for pure electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), we have increased charging power for EVs and created new specialised facilities, including dedicated battery charging facilities and a safe storage area for batteries.
