Chevrolet has officially launched the all-new 2025 Trailblazer with new options and enhanced value, and it goes on sale in Korea today.
New options include new connectivity services and exterior colours. First up is GM's OnStar feature. OnStar is GM's global connectivity service that provides an expanded digital experience through a mobile app, including remote controls (ignition, door locks, horn, hazard lights), vehicle health information (mileage, tyre pressure, fuel level, oil life, fuel economy), and vehicle diagnostics.
GM is the first of GM's global markets to introduce digital activation, making it easier and faster for consumers in Korea to use mobile connectivity services through OnStar Services. This will allow OnStar Service users to experience OnStar Services through a digitised mobile app activation, rather than the time-consuming process of calling and waiting on hold with an agent.
In addition, Chevrolet is introducing a new colour, Marina Blue, for the 2025 Trailblazer. Marina Blue, which debuted on the 2025 Trax crossover, is a crisp, blue-tinged colour that is reminiscent of the waters of a Mediterranean yacht marina.
The Trailblazer is the definition of a "true SUV". Unlike its urban SUV rivals, it has a mid-size, rigid body, advanced all-wheel drive system, high ground clearance and a rugged design that can handle off-road.
To achieve both athleticism and efficiency, GM incorporated "smart engineering," GM's computer simulation technology, into the design of the Trailblazer's body to create a lightweight yet rigid structure. Through simulation, we identified areas of the body that were subjected to high loads and reinforced them, while reducing the weight in other areas to achieve a highly rigid and lightweight body.
In addition, high-tensile and ultra-high-tensile steel plates, including POSCO's Gigasteel 22%, were applied to a wide range of parts of the body, including 78%, to ensure rigidity for off-road driving. This ensured not only stable off-road capability but also excellent collision safety. The all-wheel drive system is as smart on-road as it is off-road. It is equipped with GM's patented Switchable AWD, which allows the driver to switch between FWD and AWD modes at all times with the push of a button.
The powertrain configuration is also designed to strike the optimal balance between performance and efficiency. The 1.35L E-Turbo engine, which delivers 156 hp and 24.1 lb-ft of peak torque, uses GM's latest light-sizing turbo technology to outperform the 2L naturally aspirated engine while improving efficiency through the electrification of engine components. It is matched to a nine-speed automatic transmission with the most gears in its class to maximise efficiency in all areas of driving.
Advanced options that set Trailblazer apart from the competition also contribute to its global success. It has a class-exclusive panoramic sunroof, Active Noise Cancellation, which analyses engine noise input from microphones installed in the cabin and generates noise with opposite phase to cancel it out in real time, and a Chevrolet Bowtie Projection hands-free power liftgate, among other advanced options rarely found on compact SUVs.
The cabin also features an 8-inch colour cluster and a central 11-inch colour touchscreen, wireless phone projection to wirelessly connect your smartphone to the in-car infotainment system without the need for a USB cable for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bose® Premium 7 speakers and more.
The 2025 Chevrolet The New Trailblazer is priced at $27.99 million for the Premier, $30.99 million for the ACTIV and $30.99 million for the RS, and Chevrolet has frozen prices despite external price increases such as product upgrades including OnStar and currency increases.
"The Chevrolet Trailblazer is a key model for GM Korea and a global model that has been highly successful in overseas markets," said Myung Ok Yoon, Head of Communications and Chief Marketing Officer, GM Korea. "With new options and significant product upgrades, the launch of The New Trailblazer 2025 in Korea will provide positive momentum for domestic sales."
