Eurox wins top prize at the 31st Advertising of the Year Awards

EUROX's viral video 'The most ordinary truck' has won the top prize at the 31st Advertising of the Year Awards.

The Advertising of the Year Awards is a prestigious advertising festival that has been held since 1993 and is now in its 31st year, and is organised by the Korean Advertising Association, the largest advertising-related society in Korea with more than 1,000 advertising academics and practitioners. The entries were evaluated on the basis of excellence in communication strategy, creativity and originality of creatives, and campaign effectiveness, and were awarded in three stages: a preliminary round of judging, an online final round of judging by members of the Korean Advertising Association, and a final round of judging.

The Yurox viral video, which won the top prize at this year's Ad of the Year awards, was created after a freight driver's daughter left a comment on the ad expressing concern for her father, who was struggling to make ends meet in his truck. The surprise video of renewing the interior of the truck for her father, who has been working as a truck driver for 30 years, resonated with viewers who also work as truck drivers. The viral video can be viewed on the official LOTTE Fine Chemicals YouTube channel. In addition to releasing the viral video, LOTTE Fine Chemicals also held an event to renew the interior of the truck as shown in the video, which received a lot of responses.

"We are honoured to have won great awards at advertising festivals, from the Seoul Video Advertising Festival in January to the viral video," said a representative from Lotte Fine Chemicals. "We hope that the video will serve as an opportunity to reflect on how important the cargo drivers, who silently play an important role in society despite their hard work, are, and that Urox will always be by their side."

Urox continues to supply genuine urea water to the largest number of automakers, including global automakers such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Scania, MAN and Stellantis, as well as domestic automakers such as Hyundai and Tata Daewoo, and is recognised for its quality and value.

In addition, Urox holds the permanent trademark rights to 'AdBlue', the international quality standard for urea water established by the German Automotive Industry Association, and has been ranked No. 1 in domestic sales for 15 consecutive years (according to the Ministry of Environment) and No. 1 in the urea water category of the Korea Brand Power Index (K-BPI) for five consecutive years.

Urea water is used as a catalyst in the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system of diesel vehicles to remove nitrogen oxides (NOx), one of the main sources of fine particulate matter in exhaust gases, helping to improve air quality.
