Volvo Cars Korea will start deliveries of its next premium all-electric SUV, the EX30, at the end of June.
Following the C40 and XC40 Recharge, the EX30 is a premium compact SUV developed to target new demand in the electric vehicle market. Since its global unveiling last year, it has been recognised as a new benchmark for premium electric vehicles, winning more than 20 awards, including 'City Car of the Year' at the 2024 World Car Awards, 'Best Product Design 2024' at the Red Dot Design Awards, 'Car of the Year' by The Sun, 'Compact SUV/Crossover of the Year' by The Sunday Times, 'Best EV Crossover of 2024' and 'Eco Warrior of the Year' by Top Gear Magazine.
Especially in Korea, the model is expected to spark new vitality in the electric vehicle market, with more than 1,000 pre-bookings in two days after its first public appearance in late November last year.
In Korea, it will be available as Single Motor Extended Range, which combines a 66-kilowatt-hour nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM) lithium-ion battery with a 200-kilowatt motor, and has a maximum range of 404 kilometres per charge as certified by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. This is enough to drive from Seoul to Busan (about 400 kilometres on average). In terms of energy efficiency, it achieves an all-electric consumption of 5.5 km/kWh (5.8 km/kWh in the city and 5.1 km/kWh on the highway), achieving a rating of 2. It can also be charged from 10 to 80% in about 26 minutes via a fast (DC) charge of up to 153 kilowatts.
It is particularly dynamic and fun to drive. With 272 hp of peak motor power and 35.0 kg-m of maximum torque, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds.
With the EX30's domestic certification process now finalised, Volvo Cars Korea plans to start deliveries in July, starting with a limited number of units at the end of June.

In Korea, the EX30 is priced at 4,945 million won (Core) and 5,516 million won (Ultra), depending on select exterior and interior options such as Pilot and Park Pilot Assist, 360-degree camera, and Harman-Kardon premium sound bar system, respectively (prices after eco-tax benefits, excluding subsidies).
It comes standard with an industry-leading 5-year or 100,000 km general parts warranty and consumable replacement service; 8-year/160,000 km high voltage battery warranty; 15 years of free over-the-air (OTA) support; and a five-year Digital Services Package with TMAP infotainment service.
