Porsche Korea, together with the Green Umbrella, will present Porsche Turbo for Dreams-Ballet, which provides overseas training opportunities for disadvantaged and talented ballet students.
Making its debut this year, Porsche Turbo for Dreams is a social contribution programme within the Porsche Doing Good campaign, designed to further systematically support a range of opportunities for talented children to broaden their horizons in order to enhance their personal development and nurture their dreams and passions.
Porsche Korea plans to gradually expand its support for ballet. The Turbo for Dreams ballet camp will take place in Stuttgart, home of Porsche's headquarters.
The Ballet Camp is open to ballet majors from Grade 5 primary to Grade 2 high school from families with a median income of 120% or below from 21 May to 3 June, and the final 15 scholars will be selected by audition on 6 June. The audition categories are ballet class (barre & centre), classical work (compulsory) and contemporary dance work (optional). The mentoring programme prior to departure will be led by Kang Soo-jin, former principal dancer of the Stuttgart Ballet in Germany.
The camp will run for two weeks from 8 July. During this time, the children will be supported by a variety of training programmes, including masterclasses in ballet and modern dance by Stuttgart-based dancers, mentoring from current dancers, and visits to performances by the Stuttgart Ballet. In particular, on the last day of the camp, an online showcase of the children's skills will take place in a small theatre. In addition, the campers will be able to experience the local culture.

In addition, Porsche Korea also supports scholarships for future generations through the Porsche Dream Up programme, which is aimed at talented performers, those pursuing professional qualifications and those preparing to enter the workforce from low-income backgrounds. To date, the programme has supported a total of 263 people.
