Porsche donates a total of €911,000 to 'Racing for Charity' initiative

Porsche is again donating a total of €911,000 to three charitable organisations this year. Kinderherzogen Retten (for children with heart disease) and Interplast Deutschland will each receive €350,000, while the Perry Porsche Foundation will receive €211,000 to support sick children and their families.

Last weekend, the Porsche Penske Motorsport Works team completed 833 laps in three Porsche 963s at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, raising a total of €624,750. That's 100 more laps than last year, and every lap completed around the 13.626 kilometre Le Mans 24 Hours circuit generates a €750 donation.

"The 'Racing for Charity' initiative, which starts in 2023, allows us to further emphasise our social responsibility through motorsport, which is at the heart of Porsche's identity," said Michael Steiner, Member of the Board of Management of Porsche R&D.

Porsche has always been a member of society, fulfilling its corporate social responsibility and putting people first. Porsche is committed to many non-profit initiatives and focuses on sustainable projects in five key areas: sport, culture, environment, social issues, education and science. In 2023, Porsche contributed to more than 150 sponsored projects worldwide.
