Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) has partnered with Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV), a global timeshare resorts operator under the Hilton family of global hotel groups, to offer a Hawaiian hotel stay to domestic customers who take delivery of an electric vehicle for one year from this month to August 2025.
Hyundai and HGV signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) earlier this month to build a strategic partnership to expand the electric vehicle experience for global customers. As part of the partnership, Hyundai will offer a four-day, three-night stay at a Hilton-affiliated hotel in Hawaii to all domestic customers who attend a presentation on HGV membership after taking delivery of an Ioniq 5, Ioniq 5 N, Ioniq 6 or Kona Electric.
The voucher is valid for a stay at one of the following hotels: Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach, Double Tree by Hilton Alana Waikiki Beach, Hilton Waikiki Beach, The Modern Honolulu Hilton Vacations Club, or Ocean Tower Hilton Grand Vacations Club.
Hyundai and HGV have also been running the 'Hyundai Mobility Passport in Kona' programme for HGV membership subscribers and guests of HGV Resorts in Hawaii since the 29th of last month, allowing them to experience Hyundai electric vehicles in Hawaii. This is the first programme of its kind in Hawaii, and Hyundai and HGV will continue to expand the programme to other regions and promotions based on the demand and response to electric vehicles.
"Through the promotion with HGVs, we hope to revitalise the domestic EV market by offering attractive benefits to customers who purchase EVs," said a Hyundai Motor official. "We will continue to strive to bring the everyday EV experience to a wider global audience."
With approximately 700,000 members worldwide, HGV operates nearly 200 timeshare resorts in iconic destinations around the world, including Okinawa, Hawaii and the United States, with a vision of "the pursuit of life with life-enriching holidays".
