Kia will launch The 2025 Bongo Ⅲ on Tuesday (16th), a product with enhanced product competitiveness, and will begin full-scale sales.
The 2025 Bongo Ⅲ is a model year change, and Kia has strengthened its product competitiveness by standardising customer preferences by trim, and newly applied an automatic transmission (A/T) to the driving training trim. In response to customer feedback, Kia has expanded the power-folding exterior mirrors and cruise control to the lower trims, while the upper trims also come standard with tweeter speakers, chrome interior door handles and parking brake lever. In addition, all trims are equipped with a fire extinguisher to enhance safety.
In addition, automatic transmission models have been added to the 1-tonne extra-long double cab and standard cab-based learning trims in addition to the existing manual transmission models. As automatic transmissions become more common, a new 'Automatic Transmission Conditional Type 1 Ordinary Licence' will be introduced in the fourth quarter, making it possible to obtain a Type 1 ordinary driver's licence with a car equipped with an automatic transmission.
The 2025 Bongo Ⅲ is priced from KRW 20,035,000 to KRW 23,000,000 for 1 tonne and KRW 24,500,000 to KRW 25,600,000 for 1.2 tonne (* Based on 2WD Super Long Wheelbase King Cab with 6-speed manual transmission).
In addition, The 2025 Bongo Ⅲ Learning Trim is priced at KRW 19.88 million for the 1-tonne Standard Cab and KRW 21.27 million for the 1-tonne Double Cab. (* Based on 2WD extra-long wheelbase and 6-speed manual transmission.)
If you choose the automatic transmission, the 1.1 tonne will increase by KRW 1.13 million and the 1.2 tonne will increase by KRW 1.07 million (※ Same as the Driver Training trim, 4WD is not available with automatic transmission)
"The Bongo has long been a stalwart of small business owners and has been loved by many as a truck optimised for urban transport," said a Kia representative. "The new automatic transmission driver training trim will expand the options for new learner drivers."
