Rolls-Royce Motor Cars will make the world premiere of Spectre Semaphore, a non-spec model, at Monterey Car Week 2024 in Monterey, California, USA, today (16 June). Based on the Rolls-Royce Spectre, the non-spec model captures the bold, confident luxury code that younger customers seek.
The exterior is finished in Bispoke Semaphore Yellow, a colour inspired by the relaxed yet elegant charm of the California coast, and the bonnet is adorned with unique artwork. Named 'Marbled Paint Spill', the graphic is a tribute to the state of California, nicknamed the Golden State, and its environmental diversity. Rolls-Royce Bispoke craftsmen brought to life inspiration from a variety of elements, from the sunshine of southern California to the peaks of the Silver Mountains in the east.
To create this graphic motif, Rolls-Royce craftsmen applied silver lacquer and multiple coats of clear coat to create a seamless finish. The bonnet took over 160 hours to design, engineer and manufacture.
The bright, bold exterior colours continue inside. A combination of Bispoke Lemon Yellow and Citrine Yellow is used on the seats, Starlight doors and upper instrument panel, with contrasting touches of Grey White and Slate Grey to soften the look. The same yellow colour is also applied to the instrument cluster, taking advantage of the digital personalisation features available through the car's SPIRIT operating system.
Part of the centre fascia features a high-gloss bispoke painted wood set for maximum contemporary flair. Painted in cashmere grey to match the grey accents in the interior, the woodwork shines even more vividly in the sunlight thanks to the inclusion of silvery mica flakes in the paint.
Only one Spectre Semaphore was built, and it will be on display at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering as part of Monterey Car Week.
