The future of Renault Korea, the New Renault Grand Koleos begins series production

Renault Korea celebrated the start of series production of the New Renault Grand Koleos at its Busan plant on Friday, with the first vehicles scheduled for delivery to customers this autumn. The Renault Group's Busan plant will produce the new D-SUV New Renault Grand Corleos. In addition, Renault Korea will produce the new Renault Grand Koleos with more than 200 domestic suppliers, contributing to the sustainable development of the Busan supplier ecosystem.

New Renault Grand Koleos brings Renault's core value of 'voiture à vivre' to both driver and passengers. With a class-leading wheelbase of 2,820 millimetres, it offers generous and comfortable rear seat space, while its 18% body is made up of ultra-high-strength 'hot-press-foam' (HPF) components for outstanding safety.

Three powertrains are available: hybrid, petrol turbo 2WD and petrol turbo 4WD. Also new to the Korean market is the top-of-the-range Esprit Alpine trim inspired by the Renault Group's authentic sports car brand Alpine. The new version of the E-Tech hybrid system in the New Renault Grand Koleos delivers a class-leading system output of 245 hp and a class-leading battery capacity of 1.64 kilowatt-hours.

The open-air panoramic screen, which extends the display to the passenger seat for the first time in a Korean model, offers cinema OTT services, music streaming services, and various web services through the NAVER Whale browser. Passengers can also use these services independently via Bluetooth earphone connection. 5G data is provided free of charge for five years, and smartphones can also be connected via Wi-Fi using the hotspot setting (however, usage may be restricted due to excessive data usage).

Active Driver Assist with Level 2 Autonomous Driving is standard on all trims and includes real-time T-Map navigation and voice recognition system Nougat Auto.

The New Renault Grand Koleos made its world premiere at the Busan Mobility Show 2024 and is currently on display at Renault Seongsu, Starfield Suwon, Suwon Branch, Busan Dongnae Branch and Daejeon Branch.
