Mercedes-Benz Korea will support the production of nine of its flagship models, including the high-performance electric sedan Mercedes-AMG EQS and the top-of-the-range luxury flagship Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, in the tvN Saturday drama Queen of Tears.
The tvN Saturday drama "Queen of Tears," which premiered on the 9th of this month, tells the story of the dizzying crisis and miraculous rekindling of love between Hong Hae In, the third-generation Queens Group chaebol and department store queen, and Baek Hyun Woo, the son of Yong Doo Ri and supermarket prince. Thanks to its solid script and direction, as well as the passionate performances of the lead actors, the drama has become a global hit, ranking 7th on Netflix's Global Top 10 Series (Non-English) within two days of its release.
The production support is designed to flesh out the key characters in the drama and convey the appeal of Mercedes-Benz models to customers. Mercedes-Benz Korea will showcase nine of its flagship vehicles in the drama, including two Maybachs and S-Classes, three high-performance electric vehicles and roadsters, and four major electric vehicles.
The first two cars in the film, the AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+, the first electric car from the high-performance brand, and the AMG SL 63 4MATIC+, a luxury roadster, bring to life the character of Baek Hyun-woo (played by Kim Soo-hyun), a lawyer from a prestigious university, who is envied by everyone in the film.
The luxury flagship Maybach S 680 4MATIC appears as the car of department store owner Hong Hae-in (played by Kim Ji-won) in the film, reinforcing her character as the third generation of the Queens Group chaebol, a sophisticated and sophisticated woman. In addition, the S-Class is featured as the car of M&A expert Yoon Eun-sung (Park Sung-hoon). "Queen of Tears" can be seen every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 p.m. on tvN, and is also available to international audiences through OTT services such as Teevee and Netflix.
Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz Korea has supported the production of SBS drama "Lawyer for a Thousand Won" and JTBC drama "The Youngest Son of a Chaebol Family", showcasing various vehicles such as the EQS, Maybach S-Class and S-Class to viewers.
