Tesla Korea launches '460-horsepower' Model 3 performance trim

Tesla Korea has launched the new Model 3 Performance trim. It is a high-performance version of the new Model 3 with a peak power output of 460 horsepower.

Tesla Model 3 and Model Y are available in three trims: RWD, Long Range, and Performance. The RWD trim focuses on affordability, while the Long Range trim focuses on long range. The Performance trim is a high-performance model with an emphasis on driving performance.

Model 3 Performance is powered by a powerful fourth-generation motor that delivers a peak output of 460 horsepower. It has a top speed of 262 mph and 0-60 mph acceleration of 3.1 seconds (excluding roll-out start). For the first time, Model 3 also features an adaptive damping system for optimal ride and handling. Track-ready brake pads, previously available separately on Model 3 Performance, are also standard, providing greater thermal durability and higher braking performance.

The exterior design is also different from the previous trims. The Performance trim features an exclusive front bumper, carbon spoiler, and rear diffuser at the bottom of the rear bumper to improve aerodynamics and differentiate its appearance.

Inside, the cabin features the same sports seats found on Model S Plaid. They provide enhanced lateral support for occupants during cornering and dynamic driving, while also providing comfort for everyday driving.

The Model 3 Performance is priced at $67,999 and can be ordered on Tesla's website. It will also be available for purchase at Tesla Stores nationwide (Sinsa, Yeouido, Hanam, Bundang, Daegu, Busan, Jeju), with showrooms and deliveries expected to begin in Q2 2024.

With the launch of the Model 3 Performance trim, Tesla Korea now offers all trims of the Tesla S, 3, X, and Y line-up in Korea. The new Model 3, which was launched in early April, has been making waves in addition to the popularity of the existing Model Y, and the Performance trim completes the final piece of the puzzle.
