Toyota Motor Corporation to Participate in the 2024 Boryeong-AMC International Motor Festival

Toyota Motor Corporation of Korea will participate in the 2024 Boryeong-AMC International Motor Festival from 4 to 6 May at Daecheon Beach in Boryeong-si, Chungcheongnam-do, South Chungcheong Province, and will operate the Toyota GR (GAZOO RACING) booth.

The 2024 Boryeong-AMC International Motor Festival began as the Aju Auto University Motor Festival in 2011 and has grown into a diverse motorsport festival that includes drifting, gymkhana, off-road and motorbike competitions. Hosted by the city of Boryeong, the event is organised by Korea's only automotive specialised university, Aju Automobile University.

In 2020, Toyota Motor Corporation signed a T-TEP agreement with Aju National University, the first university in Korea to offer a specialisation in motorsport. Through this agreement, we have been working together to foster automotive professionals by opening an electrification training academy, donating cars and parts for training, and providing scholarships.

Toyota Motor Corporation will be operating the Toyota GR Booth during the festival to showcase various GR line-ups, including the GR Supra Stock Car, GR Supra and GR86, as well as a variety of interactive events to help visitors experience the fascination of motorsport. The various exhibits and events at the GR booth will also be made available as digital content through Team GR supporters to continue to promote the appeal of motorsport and the GR brand.

The 2024 Boryeong-AMC International Motor Festival will be divided into three main sections: the Tuning Car Session, which will showcase clubs, bikes, and motorsport race cars; the Automotive Enterprise Session, which will feature automotive companies; and the Leisure Sports Session, which will include off-road and camping trailers. In addition, on one side of the venue, four categories of motorsports will be held: domestic competition gymkhana, Asian competition drift, international competition enduro bike, and domestic competition off-road (car).

"The 2024 Boryeong-AMC International Motor Festival, an international motor festival that was launched to expand the scope of automotive and motorsport culture in Korea, has established itself as a festival that can be enjoyed by all those who love cars," said Dae-hwan Kang, Vice President of Toyota Motor Korea.

On the 6th of this month, Toyota Korea held a GR Racing Class for Toyota GR customers at Inje Stadium in Inje, Gangwon-do, and also held the inaugural launch ceremony of Team GR Supporters, a programme designed by Toyota Korea and SuperRace to promote the appeal of domestic motorsport and the Toyota GR brand.
