Genesis GV70 partial redesign unveiled, rear turn signals raised

Genesis has unveiled the design of the all-new GV70 for the first time. Since its debut in December 2020, the GV70 has sold more than 200,000 units in the global market, demonstrating its superior product competitiveness through a combination of dynamic and fluid design, powerful performance and a wide range of amenities.

The GV70 is a partial facelift that comes just three years and four months after its launch. Under Genesis' design philosophy of 'Athletic Elegance', the GV70 has been reborn with a more sophisticated design and enhanced productivity. The exterior features sophisticated and colourful details on key elements and new lamps with a high-tech image.

The face has been refined by replacing the crest grille with a double mesh structure, while the iconic double-row headlamps feature MLA (Micro Lens Array) technology, creating the perfect blend of high technology and refined design. The front bumper features a wider skid plate and horizontally enlarged air ducts to give the SUV a strong, muscular appearance. At the sides, the 19-inch Dark Hyper Silver wheels have been redesigned in a dynamic and sleek shape to enhance their appeal.

At the rear, the double-row concept of the turn signal indicators ensures front-to-rear unity, while the positioning of the combi lamps has been moved from the bumper to the rear to improve visibility. The shape of the High-Mounted Stop Lamp (HMSL) located on the rear spoiler has been straightened and the module below the HMSL incorporates a digital centre mirror (DCM) and two cameras with built-in cameras.

The interior inherits the Korean 'Beauty of White Space' and the unique interior theme centred on oval elements reflected in the original design, while adding high-tech sensibilities to create a space that delivers a high-end luxury experience. It is equipped with a 27-inch integrated wide display that combines the cluster and infotainment system into one, and a touch-type climate control display.

In addition, the mood lamps on the upper part of the door trim leading to the centre fascia create a comfortable atmosphere that envelops the occupants while enhancing the visual sense of luxury. Other interior enhancements include horn covers with the new Genesis emblem, a new two-tone steering wheel, and sophisticated stitching details.

The GV70 Sport Package design was also unveiled, with dynamic interior and exterior elements to maximise its sporty image. The front end is distinguished by the 'Double Layered G-Matrix' pattern crest grille, while the extended air intakes emphasise the dynamic sports SUV image.

At the sides, new five-spoke 21-inch dark metallic wheels with black double-stripe decoration where each spoke meets the rim create a distinctive Genesis presence and maximise its dynamic image. At the rear, a dark chrome rear diffuser and iconically shaped muffler tips give the Sport Package a distinctive look.

The interior features an exclusive D-cut steering wheel and new orange stitching to enhance its sporty appeal.

Meanwhile, Genesis will reveal pricing and specification details next month in time for the launch of the partially facelifted GV70.
