BMW Korea held a meeting with the Korea Transport Safety Authority on the 27th to discuss proactive responses in the era of advanced mobility.
The meeting was organised to share the business direction of BMW Korea and the Korea Transport Safety Authority to discuss the establishment of a new safety system to ensure public safety.
BMW Korea has pledged to actively cooperate with the Korea Transport Safety Authority's five major automotive safety initiatives this year: ▲ Preventing serious accidents and strengthening consumer-centric services, ▲ Expanding the public role in vehicle safety, ▲ Developing solutions for mobility national driving safety (innovation), ▲ Leading the successful commercialisation of autonomous vehicles, and ▲ Innovating tuning to meet national needs.
In addition, we will continue to promote and encourage our customers to complete the special inspection of electric vehicles promptly. In addition, we will continue to provide technical training in cooperation with the Korea Transport Safety Authority and establish internal and external processes for early completion of recalls.

In July last year, BMW Korea signed a business agreement with the Korea Transport Safety Authority and the Korea Automotive Mobility Industry Association (KAMA) to provide and utilise battery information as part of a public-participation electric vehicle battery voluntary registration system.
