GM's direct Seoul service centre opens new state-of-the-art facility

GM Korea's Chevrolet Direct Seoul Service Centre has moved into a new state-of-the-art facility, becoming an integrated service centre for all GM brands including Chevrolet, Cadillac and GMC. Construction began in earnest in November 2021, and the new facility was completed in June this year and opened for service in July.

The new building is conveniently located at the southern end of Yanghwa Bridge in Seoul, close to GM's existing Seoul Service Centre, and is the largest service centre in the Seoul area, with a land area of 3,970.60㎡ (1,201 pyeong) and a total gross floor area of 26,252.23㎡ (7,941 pyeong) from the third basement to the eighth floor. It is equipped with facilities and manpower to diagnose and repair about 100 vehicles per day.

In particular, the centre's functions, which were previously limited to maintenance services, will be expanded to include sales services in the same space, with underground parking for 180 cars. The ground floor will be used for exhibition and consultation, the second to fourth floors for maintenance and repair, the fifth to sixth floors for sheet metal and painting, and the seventh to eighth floors for offices.

In addition to services using the latest equipment, the quality of customer service has been further enhanced by introducing a luxurious rest area and an efficient one-stop reception and reservation system that prioritises customer convenience. In addition, a new Kakao channel has been launched to help customers get the latest information on the centre, and English support services have been enhanced for foreign customers.

GM Korea provides professional and prompt vehicle solutions through a network of more than 400 service centres nationwide. In particular, GM Korea has been providing premium customer services such as pick-up and delivery and express service for select Cadillac and GMC products and premium import products such as Chevrolet Colorado, Traverse and Tahoe, which are also available at the Seoul Service Centre.

"As a one-stop premium service centre where customers can experience, purchase and service their products, the GM Seoul Service Centre is another important milestone in taking GM's customer service quality to the next level," said William Henrie, Executive Vice President, After Sales Services, GM Global Operations. "We look forward to providing a more efficient and differentiated level of service, and with the upcoming opening of the showroom, it will be a place where customers can experience GM's premium brand."

To celebrate the opening of the new location, we're offering special promotions to encourage customers to visit. For the month of July, customers who bring in their cars will receive a free washer fluid, and the first 2,000 customers will receive a car safety kit. In addition, to celebrate the opening of the Kakao Talk channel, 300 customers will be selected from among those who participate in the new friending and commenting events on the Kakao Talk channel during the month of July to receive Starbucks and McDonald's coupons.

The new GM Seoul Service Centre is located at 234 Seonyu-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, and reservations can be made through the call centre (1600-0992) or the website. You can also get quick information through the KakaoTalk channel.

Earlier this year, GM Korea announced plans to strengthen its presence in the domestic market by providing a unique customer experience in both sales and service, and as part of this, in addition to the newly opened Seoul Service Centre, the East Seoul Service Centre in Seongsu-dong is also undergoing renovation to become a large-scale complex service centre with eight floors above ground and four floors below ground.

In addition, GM Korea launched global connectivity service OnStar in the domestic market this year and further expanded the scope of parts sales service ACDelco to include domestic brands to further enhance the customer experience, delivering on GM's customer-first values with a customer experience that only GM can deliver for customers seeking authentic American product experiences and new lifestyles.
