KG Mobility (KGM) today unveiled the exterior design of its all-new ACTYON, which is set to launch in August, and revealed key interior elements and images of the cabin that showcase its futuristic flair.
The new Actyon, which has been revitalising the sluggish domestic market by surpassing 16,000 units on the first day of pre-booking since its exterior image was unveiled on the 15th, has recorded 35,237 units in one week of pre-booking (as of 9am on the 22nd). The company is continuing its surge by unveiling key elements of the interior and interior design.
The interior design is based on KGM's design philosophy Powered by Toughness, with a 'Stylish & Dynamic' exterior styling, while the ergonomics of the Slim&Wide concept, with its wide spaciousness and simple horizontal layout that allows you to focus on driving, is completed with a touch of luxury and high-tech.
The futuristic, driver-centred interior design enhances visibility and operational comfort. The panoramic display, which integrates a 12.3-inch cluster with a 12.3-inch infocon navigation system, intuitively displays a variety of information necessary for driving, while the AVNT system, which has improved usability through the application of new user experience (UX), provides a more stable driving environment.
In particular, enhanced convenience features such as clusters with a new graphical user interface (GUI), over-the-air software updates (OTA), a favourites menu that works with physical buttons on the steering wheel, and a 3D around view with upgraded graphical elements have been designed to meet customer needs while enhancing usability.
In addition, the double D-cut steering wheel with two spokes emphasises the sporty and luxurious image, while the new physical buttons enhance convenience. The KGM emblem in the centre emphasises the brand identity.
There are also design touches throughout that elevate the interior. Premium interior features such as quilted suede combination seats and genuine leather seats, suede door centre trim, rose gold moulding lines, twill carbon patterned garnish, black wood patterned garnish, and crystal toggle-type electronic gearshift lever are among the materials and patterns that create a refined interior space.
KGM will begin accepting pre-orders in early August, when it will unveil detailed product information and pricing for Acteon. Existing customers who convert from pre-order to pre-contract will receive a refund of their down payment (KRW 100,000). Pre-orders can be made at KGM dealers nationwide or on the dedicated Acteon site.
"Acteon emphasises the image of a dynamic urban SUV with a slim and wide interior concept that matches its sophisticated exterior," said a KGM representative. "We have enhanced convenience with improved AVNT and various premium features that actively reflect the needs of our customers."
