Kia has released a teaser image of the new EV6, the company's upcoming product refresh three years after the launch of the EV6, revealing its silhouette and front and rear lamp designs.
Kia has given the new EV6 daytime running lights (DRLs) that reflect the new family look 'Star Map Signature Lighting' for a more dynamic and futuristic look.
Launched in August 2021, the EV6 is Kia's first dedicated electric vehicle model based on Hyundai Motor Group's E-GMP platform. With its eye-catching design and excellent electrification credentials, the EV6 was awarded the Korean brand's first European Car of the Year in 2022, followed by The North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year (SUV category) in 2023.
In addition, the EV6 has been recognised for its competitiveness in the global electric vehicle market with awards and accolades, including three World Car of the Year awards, and the EV6 GT, the high-performance version of the EV6, was named World Performance Car of the Year at the 2023 World Car Awards. Kia will reveal more details about The New EV6, including its design and specifications, later this month.
"The EV6, developed based on the dedicated EV platform E-GMP, has won various awards and accolades in global regions," said a Kia official. "We will continue to strive to meet the diverse needs of our customers through differentiated products and services."
