Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport's Lewis Hamilton won the British Grand Prix, the 12th round of the Formula 1 World Championship, on 7 July.
Lewis Hamilton was the first driver to cross the finish line in front of his home fans at the Silverstone circuit in England, covering the 306.198 kilometres of the 52-lap circuit in 1 hour, 22 minutes and 27.059 seconds.
With this victory, Lewis Hamilton took his career tally to 104 wins and gave his team a second consecutive round victory, following George Russell's victory in the previous 11 rounds. At the same time, Hamilton became the first driver to finish on the British Grand Prix podium in 12 consecutive seasons and the 150th driver to finish on the podium for Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team.
"We are delighted to have achieved victory at Silverstone in front of a packed British crowd with one of Britain's most iconic and successful drivers," said Toto Wolff, Head of Mercedes-AMG Motorsport.

The victory puts Lewis Hamilton in eighth place in the season standings, while Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport is fourth in the constructors' standings. With the 12th race of the season now complete, the 2024 F1 season enters the second half of the calendar, with the next race, the Hungarian Grand Prix, taking place from 19 July to 21 July in Budapest.
