Renault Korea held its 2024 Supplier Conference on 27 November at Renault Korea's Busan plant in Busan, Korea, with more than 150 suppliers in attendance to introduce the new Renault Grand Corleone and award outstanding suppliers. Renault Korea has been organising the conference every year to share key business strategies and explore ways to strengthen competitiveness with its suppliers in order to continue to grow together.
The 2024 Supplier Conference also included a presentation of the new Renault Grand Koleos, which was unveiled earlier in the day at the 2024 Busan Mobility Show. The Grand Koleos is Renault Korea's D-segment SUV, built on Renault's DNA of 'voiture à vivre', with the production know-how and quality competitiveness of the Busan plant and its partners.
At the 'Supplier of the Year' award ceremony held in conjunction with the conference, three outstanding suppliers were honoured for their outstanding performance in the development and production of the new Grand Corleos. The awards were presented to SPIEL for performance in the parts sector, Dongshin Motec for quality, and Kumho Tyre for research and development (R&D).
"We are working with our excellent partners to the last detail to ensure that we deliver the highest quality Grand Corleos to our customers," said Stéphane DeVlez, President of Renault Korea. "The Busan plant will continue to put in place relevant programmes to ensure that we achieve mutual growth with our partners."
Meanwhile, Renault Korea's Busan plant boasts the highest level of production quality among the Renault Group's plants worldwide. In line with the Renault Brand International Game Plan strategy, the Busan plant will be one of five global hubs to serve global markets outside Europe, producing high-end midsize and mid-size cars, including the Grand Koleos.
