Renault Korea's New Renault Grand Koleos is named Car of the Month

Renault Korea's new mid-size SUV, the Grand Koleos, has been named August's Car of the Month.

The Korea Automobile Journalists Association's Car of the Year Selection Committee awards the Car of the Month to the best-rated new and partially revised models released during the month from the first to the last day of the previous month. The evaluation is conducted in five categories: interior and exterior design and emotional quality, safety and convenience features, power performance, energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions, and productivity and purchase intentions.

The Grand Corleos received excellent marks in each category and scored the highest of the five nominees, earning it the honour of being named August Car of the Month.

Renault Korea's all-new Grand Koleos will begin customer deliveries in early September, starting with the E-Tech Hybrid model. Embodying Renault's core value of 'voiture à vivre', the car offers an elegant and modern exterior design and a spacious interior with a class-leading wheelbase of 2,820 mm.

The body incorporates ultra-high-strength 'hot-press moulded' (HPF) components at a class-leading 181 TP3T ratio, and many high-quality materials, including new 980+ Mpa 'Giga Steel' and ultra-high tensile steel sheet (AHSS), for outstanding safety. All trims are also equipped with advanced driving assistance features up to Level 2 of autonomous driving as standard.

OTT services, music streaming services and various web services are available through the 'openR' panoramic screen that extends to the passenger seat for the first time in Korea, and real-time TMAP navigation and voice recognition system NUGU Auto are also provided as standard to enhance driving convenience.

The Grand Corleos is available with three powertrains: petrol turbo 2WD, petrol turbo 4WD and E-Tech Hybrid, with the E-Tech Hybrid delivering a class-leading 245 hp of system output. In addition, the Gran Corleos E-Tech Hybrid is capable of driving in electric mode for up to 751 TP3T of its entire range in city driving, and has a class-leading fuel efficiency of 15.7 km/L (in Techno trim) on 19-inch tyres.
