Mercedes-Benz Korea is releasing information on battery cell suppliers for its pure electric vehicles from today (13th) and will be offering free check-ups for Mercedes-Benz electric vehicles from tomorrow (14th).
In response to consumer and market demand, Mercedes-Benz Korea has decided to make information about the battery cell suppliers of its pure electric vehicles sold in Korea publicly available on its official website. The information is now available on the official website of Mercedes-Benz Korea (https://www.mercedes-benz.co.kr/passengercars/electric-battery.html).
In addition, the 'Mercedes-Benz Electric Vehicle Free Inspection' will be available at 75 authorised service centres nationwide from the 14th.
Mercedes-Benz Korea is co-operating with the authorities in their investigation to establish the exact cause of the incident and is committed to supporting them in identifying the root cause and taking appropriate follow-up action.
Regardless of the ongoing investigation into the root cause of the accident, Mercedes-Benz Korea has decided to donate approximately KRW 4.5 billion in humanitarian aid through the Children and Future Foundation, a social welfare organisation. The donation will be used to repair the damage caused by the accident and normalise the lives of the residents.
