Audi Korea has announced the successful conclusion of the Korean finals of the Audi Twin Cup 2024, an aftersales service and sales competition held on 27 and 28 April in Paradise City Incheon.
The Audi Twin Cup is an annual event held to improve the service competence of Audi after-sales service employees around the world. It has been held annually in Korea since 2008 and is open to all authorised Audi dealers. The competition is divided into two categories: 'Aftersales Service', which tests customer service and product knowledge, and 'Aftersales Technology', which evaluates technical skills. New for this year are the New Car Sales and Used Car Sales categories, which assess sales service competence.
A total of 55 participants from 30 teams (five in the aftersales service category, 10 in the aftersales technology category, 12 in the new car sales category and three in the used car sales category) took part in the Audi Twin Cup 2024 Korea final. The evaluation consisted of a team practical test and an individual written test on real cars, as well as customer service and maintenance skills in both theory and practice, based on situations commonly encountered in Audi new and used car showrooms and authorised service centres.
In the Korean finals of the Audi Twin Cup 2024, Gojin Motors 'Gogojin' team won first place in the Aftersales Service category, Yukaro Automobile 'Progress' team won first place in the Aftersales Technology category, KOLONAUTO '24MY Songpadaero' team won first place in the New Car Sales category, and KOLONAUTO 'Kimpo-ring' team won first place in the Used Car Sales category.
This year, eight members of the Audi Twin Cup 2024 Korean team were selected from Gojin Motors' Kim Dong-hyun and Lim Min-hyuk in the after-sales service category, Yukaro AutoMobile's Kim Hyun-soo and Park Tae-hee in the after-sales technology category, Hanser Motors' Park Tae-hee, KOLONAUTO's Kim Eung-sun and Byun Jung-hwan in the sales new cars category, and KOLONAUTO's Lee Yerim and Kim Dae-hong in the sales used cars category. They will now prepare for the Audi Twin Cup World Championship World Finals from 15-19 July in Munich, Germany.
Previously, the Korean team has proven that it delivers world-class service through its outstanding service quality, technical skills and teamwork, winning the Audi Twin Cup World Championship in 2013 overall, followed by second place in the service category in 2015 and first place in 2016.
Meanwhile, Audi Korea is making concerted efforts to meet the diverse needs of consumers and create opportunities for sustainable growth in the Korean market as the automotive market continues to shift towards electrification and digitalisation.
In addition to the 24/7 Audi chatbot service, customers who purchase a 24-year old car will receive Car Service Plus (CSP), a free consumable maintenance coupon for existing car purchases, as well as a pick-up and delivery service that can be booked online and by phone for a total of six one-way trips for three years. In addition, the company offers a variety of services to enhance customer satisfaction with its after-sales service, such as the Extended Service Package (ESP), a service extension package, service reminders via text message before the CSP expires, and repair progress updates via text message.
In addition, for customers who are unable to visit the showroom, Audi has introduced the Audi to You service, where an Audi sales advisor will come to the customer's preferred location for a test drive and consultation, and sales booths will be set up at service centres nationwide for convenient new car purchase consultations.
