Cadillac begins customer deliveries of LYRIQ, the brand's first all-electric vehicle, today (22nd).
Based on GM's next-generation electric vehicle platform, ULTIUM, the Lyric is considered the most exciting model in the luxury electric vehicle market, with a sensuous design inspired by "The Rhythms of Nature" and an array of driving and comfort features, including the industry's first Variable Regen on Demand.
With a large 102-kilowatt-hour battery and an all-wheel drive (AWD) system comprising dual motors, the LEAF delivers a powerful 500 hp peak power and 62.2 kg-m peak torque. At the same time, it boasts an impressive range of 465 kilometres on a single charge.
In the first half of 2024, LYRIC was the No. 1 single-model sales leader among luxury brands in the U.S. electric vehicle market, and in the domestic market, it has already sold out of its initial 180 units in the first week after pre-contracting began on 23 May, demonstrating its strong product appeal.
"The outstanding value of the Lyric, which leads the luxury electric vehicle market in North America, is also an attractive purchase factor for Korean customers," said Eun-Young Choi, vice president of sales for Cadillac Korea. "We are confident that it will become an iconic model that offers a differentiated 'American luxury EV' experience to Korean customers who are used to German luxury brands.
Following the sell-out of the first batch of Lyric, we are rapidly running out of additional units available for customer delivery this year, and are focused on ensuring that we have sufficient supply to meet customer demand.
Cadillac has been holding a nationwide test drive event for the 'Shape of Art' Lyric since the 17th of this month, and is offering various benefits to customers who sign up for a test drive through the Cadillac Korea channel on KakaoTalk and complete the test drive at the showroom.
