Toyota Korea will host the Toyota Correct DOG Festival 2024 from 17 to 19 May at KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi-do, for three days.
The Toyota Right Dog Festival was first held in 2023 with the aim of establishing a right dog culture and conveying new values for pet owners and non-pet owners alike to communicate and bond together. This year, it will be held at the 2024 MEGAZOO pet industry exhibition.
The Toyota Right Dog Festival 2024 will feature a mascot house decorated with Right Dog merchandise, a Campaign Zone with puppet and photo zone events, a Right Dog Stage Zone with talk shows by agility experts, a QR quiz show on the Right Dog campaign, and a dog talent show. The Toyota Lounge, where visitors can view and test drive electric models from the Toyota brand, and the Right Dog Playground, which will host agility competitions and the Right Dog Agility School, will provide a wealth of attractions and events for people to enjoy.
In particular, the Toyota Correct Dog Agility Competition, which will be held on 18 May, is a competition in which people team up with their dogs to complete an obstacle course, and pre-registrations were held from 2 to 26 April on the official Toyota Korea website. As a result, 50 teams in the Beginner category and 50 teams in the Novice category were finally selected, and fierce competition is expected. The first-place team in each category will receive a cash prize of 300,000 won, second place 200,000 won, and third place 100,000 won for their outstanding performance in the agility competition.
In addition, the Toyota Correct Dog Agility School, where national agility trainers will conduct agility training for dogs prior to the Agility Competition, and the "Wait" and "Come" Best in Show competitions to see which dog can stay "wait" the longest on command and which dog can run the fastest.
"This year's Toyota Right Dog Festival is designed to be a time for pets and their owners to play and interact with each other," said Dae-hwan Kang, Vice President of Toyota Korea. "We will continue to strive to create a mature pet culture where people and animals can happily coexist."
Meanwhile, Toyota Korea has selected "Right Dog Ambassadors" to carry out missions such as pet etiquette content and various activity challenges with dogs to spread the right dog culture.
