Hyundai Motor Company (including Genesis) and Kia Motors are launching the 'Electric Vehicle Relief Inspection Service'. This is a programme where Hyundai and Kia provide free check-ups for electric vehicle owners who visit their service bases nationwide.

Hyundai-Kia has recently launched this safety inspection service to help customers drive safely and ease their anxiety about electric vehicles, given the recent increase in customer concerns about electric vehicle fires.

The inspection covers all Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis passenger and small commercial electric vehicles, and covers nine items related to the safety of electric vehicles, including insulation resistance, voltage deviation, cooling system, connection cable and connector damage, lower body impact/damage, and fault codes. Customers who wish to use the service can make a reservation through each company's customer centre, select the desired schedule and location on weekdays and Saturdays, and visit the service base.

Hyundai (including Genesis) customers can access the service at 22 direct Hi-Tech Centres and 1,234 Blue Hands nationwide, while Kia customers can get it done at 18 direct service centres and 757 Autocues nationwide.

"Through these inspections, we will eliminate anxiety about electric vehicles and help customers drive safely," said a Hyundai-Kia official.

For more information on the 'Electric Vehicle Safety Check Service', please contact the customer service centres of each company (Hyundai ☎080-600-6000 / Kia ☎080-200-2000).

Meanwhile, Hyundai and Kia are implementing various programmes to make it easier for customers to drive and manage their electric vehicles. Through 'EV Every Care', Hyundai provides new customers of the Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6 and Kona Electric with benefits such as free charging credits or home chargers (including installation), guaranteed residual value for used cars, and replacement of a new car in the event of a total loss within one year of delivery.

Through the 'Kia e-Life Package', Kia offers benefits to all electric vehicle customers, including a programme to support the purchase of a home charger, a residual value guarantee for used vehicles, and support for the difference between the price of the vehicle and the total loss insurance amount when purchasing a new Kia after a total loss accident within one year.
