Hyundai Motor Company is recruiting global talent to lead the future mobility industry. The aim is to gather talented people from around the world in time for the summer holidays to enhance cultural diversity and take a step forward as a global company.
Hyundai Motor Company is recruiting international students enrolled in domestic universities for a two-week summer internship (Internship for International Students) from the 1st to the 14th of next month. International students who are enrolled in their third year or above at a domestic university or in a master's programme are eligible to apply regardless of nationality or major.
This is the first time Hyundai has recruited international student interns through an open call for applications. International student interns will work for four weeks during the month of July and will be able to experience a variety of roles, including R&D, mobility design, business/planning, management support, and production/manufacturing. For more information, please visit Hyundai's recruitment website.
Talents from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), a key strategic market, will also be able to come to Korea to work as interns. Hyundai will offer four-week internships to students from top universities in ASEAN, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, starting in July.
First launched three years ago in 2021, the ASEAN interns will work on local business-related tasks at the Yangjae and Gangnam-daero offices in Seoul, as well as at the Technology Research Centre (Namyang Research Centre). The company plans to offer the best interns jobs at local subsidiaries.
The PhD internship programme for science and engineering students from overseas universities was established this year to strengthen R&D capabilities. The programme is open until the 12th of this month through the recruitment website and will be selected through document screening and online interviews. Doctoral interns will have the opportunity to conduct research projects with current employees at Hyundai Motor R&D Headquarters or AVP Headquarters for two months from July during the summer holidays.
Hyundai has been actively recruiting foreign talent in recent years. Examples include the Global Team Hyundai Talk, a recruitment event for international students held in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, in September last year, and the Global Metaverse briefing for international students in March this year.
We also have a special programme for foreign interns to help them integrate into the company. They will be assigned a dedicated mentor, meet with senior foreign employees, and visit Hyundai brand locations. "We will actively seek out global talent to create synergy among employees with diverse cultural backgrounds," Hyundai said.
