Hyundai is launching a 'Charging Now' travel support campaign for customers with everyday charging needs.
The Charge Now Travel Support Campaign is a mobility campaign designed by Hyundai to provide customers with the freedom of movement and convenient EV charging experience. A total of 100 teams will be selected to receive round-trip flights to Jeju, accommodation, travel insurance, IONIQ 5 car rental, and charging fees, with priority given to those with disabilities, pregnant women, and other mobility disadvantaged groups.
Those selected for the campaign will be able to experience a convenient and safe EV charging process through an automatic EV charging robot installed at the Jeju Saville E-pit charging station. The EV charging robot is an arm-shaped robot developed by Hyundai Motor Robotics Lab to reduce the hassle of charging and increase customer convenience.
After parking at the charging station, use the mobile phone in the car to tap Start Charging in the campaign app. The charging outlet cover will open, the robot will open the quick charge protective cap, and the charging connector will be plugged into the car's charging outlet to start charging. When charging is complete, the robot disconnects the charging connector from the car, returns it to its place, and closes the quick-charging protective cap and the charging port cover. This process minimises the driver's intervention.
Those selected to participate in the Now Charging travel support campaign will travel on a three-day, two-night trip for each team between Friday 14 June and Wednesday 31 July. Customers interested in participating should submit their stories and applications by Tuesday 30 April via the application page at https://acrtrip.com/.
"We are launching this campaign as part of Hyundai Continu, our global CSV initiative to create shared value, and we hope that our customers will experience the freedom of mobility that comes with charging," said a Hyundai Motor official.
