Cadillac's new XT4 launches in Korea with a striking '33-inch' screen

Cadillac is launching the all-new XT4, which is available for pre-order from today (3rd). Since its debut in Korea in 2021, the XT4 has been a favourite among young female customers for its stylish design, balanced performance, class-leading space and safety.

The all-new XT4 represents the latest evolution of Cadillac's design identity with a refined exterior design and an all-new interior design, while the addition of new comfort and safety features, as well as a full-cycle facelift, make it an evolution in every way.

The exterior design draws heavily on Cadillac's trademark "Young American Luxury" elements to create the perfect balance of dynamic styling and luxurious design objects. At the front, a new parametric patterned grille reinterprets one of Cadillac's traditional design elements, the 'Chevron', while sleek, vertical signature daytime running lights and headlamps complete the look.

While maintaining the XT4's sporty character lines and exterior design proportions, the dynamic styling is enhanced by extensive use of dark high-gloss materials on the body sides, a dark roof frame and newly designed 20-inch alloy wheels.

Six exterior colours are available, including three new options: Emerald Lake Metallic, Midnight Sky Metallic and Deep Sea Metallic.

The interior is an all-new, evolutionary design inspired by the brand's first electric vehicle, Lyriq, which serves as the foundation for the next generation of Cadillac design elements. A 33-inch curved Advanced LED Display, which combines a cluster and infotainment touchscreen into one, is a key element of the new XT4's interior. The combination of aluminium garnishes and ambient lighting around the perimeter creates a futuristic yet luxurious ambience.

The 33-inch curved Advanced LED Display supports an ultra-high resolution of 9K and can display more than 1 billion colours, with individual themes that can be selected to suit occupants' tastes. It also supports wireless phone projection, including wireless Apple CarPlay® and wireless Android Auto™, providing a convenient interface for drivers to connect their personal devices to the car.

Available in two interior colour options, Jet Black and Sky Grey, different carbon and wood materials and Cadillac's signature craftsmanship and embroidery patterns create a class-leading interior of luxury.

It also features the AKG Studio 14 Speaker Audio System, which is optimised for the interior features of the cabin, with 14 speakers and a wide range of audio modes to suit every passenger.

An enhanced Active Safety Package is also available for driver safety. It includes enhanced front and rear automatic emergency braking with rear pedestrian warning, improved lane departure prevention and lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control with fine-tuned following distance as standard. Also new are automatic emergency braking and front and side pedestrian and cyclist cross-traffic alerts.

Other class-exclusive features include first-row driver and front passenger massage seats for added long-distance comfort, an Air Ioniser, heated and ventilated first-row seats, and heated second-row seats.

The in-line four-cylinder 2.0-litre petrol turbocharged engine produces 238 hp and 35.7 kg-m of peak torque. The transmission is a 9-speed automatic. The Active Sport Suspension and Continuous Damping Control, which were well-received on the previous model, have been retained for a sportier ride, and the newly introduced Engine Sound Enhancement (ESE) has been applied to enhance the engine sound for a more enjoyable driving experience.

In addition, the Active Fuel Management System, which deactivates some cylinders in certain driving situations to improve fuel efficiency, has been upgraded to deliver improved city fuel economy (8.8 to 9.3 km/l) and combined fuel economy (10.0 to 10.3 km/l) compared to the previous model.

Other standard features include Twin-Clutch All-Wheel Drive, which allows power to be distributed freely between all four wheels, and drive modes that can be adjusted to Tour, Sport, and Snow/Ice modes.

Available in a single 'Sport' trim, the new XT4 will be priced at KRW 61.2 million (excluding 5% VAT) in Korea and is available for pre-order from today (3 June) for delivery to customers in early June.
