KG Mobility launches new Torres with electric version and unified interior

KG Mobility (KGM) is launching The New Torres with a new interior and the latest convenience features. The new Torres is equipped with a wide range of convenience and safety features for daily driving, reflecting customer needs and preferences, and has a modernised interior design to enhance product appeal.

The ergonomic design of the interior space is based on slim and wide. Starting with the entry-level T5, the 12.3-inch panoramic display intuitively provides drivers with a variety of driving information, while the floating centre console creates a sense of openness with the passenger seat while improving storage efficiency. In addition, the toggle-switch type electronic transmission system, USB Type-C sockets (2 in the first row and 2 in the second row), and upgraded Driver Drowsiness Alert (DDAW) system have been added as standard equipment, significantly enhancing safety and convenience.

The T7's advanced comfort features include digital key (NFC card type), passenger walk-in device, hanger-type headrests, mobile phone wireless charging, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISA) and an available 3D Around View Monitoring System.

The Off-Road Package, newly available as a customisation item on the T7 model, is a dedicated off-road package that embodies an off-roader-style exterior image and driving capability in line with the authentic SUV concept. The optional equipment includes 18-inch all-terrain tyres, inch-up springs, wheel arch and door garnishes, and red aluminium caliper covers to enhance driving performance.

The Black Edition model is also available with distinctive colour and design elements that convey a sense of strength. The Black Edition features 20-inch diamond-cut black wheels, black C-pillar varnish, and black skid plates at the front and rear to emphasise the luxury of the black colour theme.

There are also new colours for the interior and exterior. In terms of exterior colours, Torres EVX's popular Latte Grey has been newly added, bringing the total to six one-tone colours, including Grand White, Iron Metal, Forest Green, Dandy Blue and Space Black, and four two-tone colours, excluding Dandy Blue and Space Black. On the inside, the interior is more luxurious by implementing the interior applied to the Torres EVX, such as reflecting the grey two-tone.

In addition to the launch of The New Torres, KGM is also introducing derivative models including The New Torres VAN and Bi Fuel LPG. The Torres Bi Fuel LPG combines the engine performance of petrol with the economy of LPG to deliver fuel savings on long journeys, with a range of more than 1,000 kilometres on a single refuelling and recharging. The New Torres Van is a two-seater SUV with optimised boot space to suit a variety of lifestyles, including outdoor activities. With up to 1,462 litres of boot space, it can carry a maximum weight of 300kg.

The New Taurus is priced at KRW 28,838,000 for the T5, KRW 32,229,000 for the T7 and KRW 35,550,000 for the Black Edition, a slight increase of KRW 41-55,000 depending on the model.

The Torres Bi-Fuel LPG is priced at TL31.68 million for the TL5 and TL35.59 million for the TL7. The New Torres Van is priced at TL26.66 million for the TV5 and TL30.42 million for the TV7. The vans are classified as small cargo vehicles and are eligible for various tax benefits, including a 10% rebate on business VAT, exemption from education tax, and 28,500 won in annual car tax.
