Cadillac's first all-electric Lyric nears domestic launch

Cadillac has kicked off its first-quarter domestic launch of the brand's first all-electric vehicle, the Lyric, with the launch of the Lyric newsletter.

The Cadillac Lyric is the first model to be built on General Motors' next-generation dedicated electric vehicle platform, the Ultimatum. It combines the unique proportions of an electric vehicle with Cadillac's refined character lines and new exterior lighting signature to create an aesthetically pleasing luxury EV. It features a 102-kilowatt-hour (kWh) high-capacity battery with 12 modules and two electric motors at the front and rear with a peak output of 500 hp and 62.2 kg-m of torque, making it a standout in the electric vehicle market.

Cadillac launched its Lyric newsletter service last year and has been soliciting subscribers for the past year, and today announced the imminent launch of Lyric in Korea with its first newsletter. The company is planning a separate car unveiling event for newsletter subscribers, and will announce the event and invite attendees in future newsletters.
