For customers who have suffered damage such as flooding and damage to their vehicles due to torrential rains this summer, Toyota Motor Corporation of Korea will conduct a special support campaign for flood-damaged vehicles at authorised Lexus and Toyota service centres nationwide from 12 July to 31 August.
Through this campaign, customers affected by water damage can have a total of 14 items related to rainwater ingress inspected for free, including the engine compartment, battery, brake-related parts, and interior and exterior inspections. Customers will also receive 30% discounts on parts and labour up to KRW 3 million for paid repairs due to water damage, and up to KRW 500,000 in driver deductibles for insurance repairs.
In addition, a repurchase programme for select Lexus and Toyota customers whose vehicles have been declared a total loss due to the heavy rainfall is also being offered. During the campaign, customers who sign a repurchase agreement and take delivery by September will be eligible for special offers, and to make life easier for customers, we will provide up to one month of rental car service until delivery of their new vehicle.
In addition, customers who have been using Toyota Financial Services' leasing programmes and have been declared a total loss may be eligible to have the early repayment fee for their existing model waived when repurchasing through Toyota Financial Services.
"This unexpected downpour has prompted us to urgently launch a special support campaign for Lexus and Toyota customers who have been affected by flooding," said Dae-Hwan Kang, Vice President of Toyota Motor Korea. "We urge customers to visit their nearest service centre to ensure their safety, as professional inspection and vehicle maintenance is essential for flooded vehicles."
