KG Mobility Chairman Kwak Jae-sun Visits Turkuye to Spur Global Field Management

KG Mobility (KGM) Chairman Jae-sun Kwak visited Turkuye on the 12th to meet with dealers and check the sales situation as part of the global sales volume increase and field management after the mass production ceremony of Acteon. Afterwards, he travelled to Germany to participate in a dealer conference and actively promote Acteon sales.

KGM Chairman Jae-sun Kwak, CEO Ki-young Hwang, and distributor Nihat Sahsuvaroglu attended the meeting at the Sahsuvaroglu group in Istanbul, Turkey on the 13th of this month.

The meeting began with an explanation of KGM's major business plans, followed by an introduction of Acteon products, along with sharing strategies for expanding sales in the Turkiye market. KGM also visited dealers that sell Torres EVX and other products to see firsthand the local sales situation and customers' reactions to KGM's products.

"We are very confident in Actian's product capabilities, as it has been well-received in Korea, with pre-orders exceeding 55,000 units since the design was unveiled last month, setting a record since KGM's inception, and we have high expectations for increased sales volume in the Turkestan market," said Kwak Jae-sun, chairman of KGM.

"Turkiye is an important market for KGM's growth in the Middle East, and we have seen a significant increase in sales since the launch of the Torres EVX in March, so we will continue to increase sales volumes through the launch of various new models, as well as strengthening communication and cooperation with our dealers and expanding marketing at various customer touchpoints."

The Torres EVX, which was launched in Turkiye in March and is currently undergoing a global launch in New Zealand and elsewhere, has been well received in the market, with 6,292 units exported up to July, and 2,522 units sold in the first half of the year in the Turkiye market alone, ranking third in total sales of electric vehicles in Turkiye and second among imported car brands with a market share of 11.61 TP3T.

Meanwhile, KGM's total exports for the year to date in July stood at 36,663 units, up 11.21 TP3T from last year (32,981 units), which was the best performance in nine years.
