Chevrolet's new Colorado sells out of its initial production run within a day of launch

The Chevrolet All New Colorado has sold out of its initial allocation after just one day of domestic availability.

"The Chevrolet Colorado is a monumental model that pioneered the authentic American pickup truck market in Korea and has led the segment for many years," said Lee Ki-hyun, Head of Domestic Sales, GM Korea. "We are confident that the all-new Colorado will be the new leader in the premium imported pickup truck market, as it has been so popular that we sold out of the initial allocation within a day of its launch."

The Chevrolet Colorado is a mid-size pickup truck model that is the culmination of Chevrolet's more than 100 years of experience building pickup trucks. The first-generation Colorado made waves in the US mid-size pickup truck market when it was introduced in 2003, and the second-generation model was launched in Korea in 2019, bringing the authentic American pickup truck to Korea.

Now in its third generation, the Colorado is a premium, authentic American pickup truck with a refined design, high-performance powertrain and advanced options that deliver all-weather performance both on and off-road. More than 400 pre-orders were received on the first day of its official domestic launch, demonstrating strong customer interest in the imported premium pickup truck market, which is estimated at more than 1,000 units annually. Given the positive feedback from domestic customers, Chevrolet plans to actively communicate with its North American headquarters to secure additional volumes.

With a new inline-4-cylinder 2.7L petrol turbocharged engine with a maximum output of 314 hp and 54 lb-ft of torque, the new Colorado delivers best-in-class power and performance with a second-generation 8-speed automatic transmission for smoother shifts and better performance.

As you'd expect from an outdoor-ready pickup, it comes standard with Autotrac™ active 2-speed 4WD all-wheel drive system for confident off-road capability and a choice of drive modes to suit your driving situation. You can also enjoy an expanded outdoor lifestyle with GM's advanced trailering-specific technologies.

There are also a host of new options befitting a premium, authentic pickup truck. It comes with five years of complimentary OnStar, GM's global connectivity service, wireless phone projection with Google Android Auto and Apple CarPlay without wires, driver's memory seat, heated and ventilated front seats, an auto-heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear air vent, sunroof and smart key.

Meanwhile, the Chevrolet All-New Colorado can be seen in the flesh at 30 Chevrolet dealerships nationwide, including The House of GM, GM's unified brand space that has been redesigned as an open space for customers.
